Plural sculpture

True creation is free from any norms, and necessary multiple. It is worth of interest when it is demanding and singular. Beyond originality, the strength of the creation lies in its unicity. Thus, Plural Sculpture gathers artistic creations that share a thoughtful research, plastic qualities, originality, independence. If abstraction dominates, it isn’t established as a dogma.

William Noblet, sculpter and head of the group “Plural Sculpture”.

Some history:

Organized over 5 days, the ART CAPITAL exhibition is an event that brings together around 40,000 visitors to the Grand Palais in Paris, around contemporary works of art exhibited by 2,000 artists from around the world.

Editorial of the Fair’s President Comparaisons

In order to go against a certain trend of intolerance that we consider to be the opposite of art, Comparisons, since its first edition, was organized relativity to trends, each of them being represented among the group. The confrontation is thus sereine, fraternal even.

Today, remaining true to these principles, Comparaison gathers 28 groups representing a variety of sensitivities and trends in curent art; the public seeks out this confrontation of styles, mindset and technics.

Listing the various artists that took part of the Comparison art fair, it is interesting to see that only few of them were already famous when they presented their creation there. But all of them contributed -sometimes in a magistral way- to the notoriety of the fair. Nowadays they are famous, celebrated, and their creations are researched by collectors. They have a special place in our emotional universe. André Lhote, Antonio Tapies, Poliakoff, Matta, Arman,Yves Klein, Vieira Da Silva, Alechinsky, Lindström, François Morellet, Utrillo, Vlaminck, Chaissac, Raysse, René Magritte, Jean Messagier, Mimmo Rotella, Man Ray, Picasso, Salvador Dali, Antoni Clavé, Van Dongen, Christo, André Masson, Bernard Buffet, Olivier Debré César, Villeglé Niki de Saint-Phalle, Atlan, Hains, Lanskoy, Klasen…

The Comparison Art fair remains faithful to that prestigious past. These references guide the comity when choosing the artists and sensitivities that they want to put in the limelight.

Paul Alexis, President of the Comparisons art fair.
