Few words from the curator:

“On the occasion of this new exhibit “Impressionism and poetry”, I have chosen to reunite Florence LEMIEGRE and the painter Noël ROCH – although their styles are different, they both make us question ourselves through a subtile combinaison of lightness and gravity. These two artist are carried by a similar exaltation, free of any rational process, with a shared tendency to destroy what is know and stable, rejecting codes and conventions. An expressionism that is alive, as it continues to inspire pictural and cinematographic arts, as well as actual by answering to new questions brought up by modernity“.

“In Florence Lemiegre’s workshop…

There too, a discovery and an encounter. Florence welcomes me in her Ali Baba’s cave, the key of the enigma of her universe! A multiplicity of sculptures, guests of a baroque party… Looking at them, we can’t doubt the fact that dream and incongruous are in fact, one“.
