The Ateliers d’Art de France competition highlights the excellence of craftsmanship in France by rewarding exceptional pieces created by talented professionals in each of our regions. There are two categories: Heritage and Creation.

From May 13 to 31, the Fabrique des Métiers d’art will host the regional exhibition of the competition for the Normandy region at the Carré St-Cyr, a gallery dedicated to excellence in the arts and crafts.

Florence Lemiegre has been selected as a finalist in the creation category for the 2026 edition. Her work, “Noli me tangere pistils Corocora,” created and produced in her Jules Verne studio, will be presented and defended by the artist to the president and members of the jury on May 12.

The artist tells us: “Like an imagined coral, this creation is part of my work dedicated to protecting the oceans—the ‘Noli me tangere’ (Latin for ‘Do not touch me’) series. It bears witness to the vulnerability of marine ecosystems. Each pistil conveys the fertility and emotion of an oceanic language. It crystallizes the mysterious conversations from the depths of the seas. Like a silent melody, the oscillation resembles imperceptible breaths: the work seems to come to life.”

Following this presentation, the winners in each of the Heritage and Creation categories will be announced and will represent Normandy in the national competition.

The winners will be announced at the opening reception, which will take place on the same day at 6:30 p.m.

Florence Lemiegre will be present at the opening reception.

During this event, collectors and visitors will also have the opportunity to view some fifteen works from the artist’s “Noli me tangere Pistils” collection, selected by Marie-Laure Letellier, director and curator of the Carré Saint Cyr.
