Ceramic sculptor Florence Lemiegre is delighted to announce her 10th official participation in the 123rd edition of the legendary Salon d’Automne de Paris. The event will take place from October 28 to November 1, 2026, under temporary pavilions set up on the iconic Place de la Concorde.
Appointed as an Artiste Sociétaire (Member Artiste) in 2018 following her first exhibition there in 2016, Florence Lemiegre has established a lasting presence within this historic institution. Autonomously managed by the artists themselves, the Salon d’Automne of Paris remains a major hub for global contemporary creation. This year, it will gather over 1,000 artists from 50 different countries across a 4,000 m² exhibition space.
La Noli me Tangere Pistils Corocora: An Award-Nominated, Exceptional Artwork
For this 2026 edition, the artist will unveil an exceptional unique piece: La Noli me Tangere Pistils Corocora.
Before arriving on the Parisian art scene, this earthenware sculpture received significant institutional recognition, having recently been named a finalist in the prestigious Concours National des Ateliers d’Art de France for the Normandy Region. It was also proudly showcased this past June during an exclusive exhibition at the at the Carré St-Cyr, a gallery dedicated to exceptional arts and crafts, part of the Fabrique des Métiers d’Art in Le Vaudreuil, Normandy.

This artwork is part of her major collection Noli me Tangere (“Touch me not”), a conceptual universe that questions the vulnerability of biodiversity in the face of anthropogenic changes. Through organic shapes and intricate structures reminiscent of plant and coral worlds, this unique piece embodies a deep reflection on environmental resilience.

A word from the artist on her creative process:
“Like imaginary corals, “La Noli me Tangere Pistils Corocora” is fully integrated into my work dedicated to the protection of the Ocean. It stands as a testament to the fertility, but also to the vulnerability, of all marine ecosystems. Each pistil translates the emotion of an oceanic tongue, crystallizing the mysterious conversations of the deep seas. Like a silent, almost interior melody, each sway feels like imperceptible breaths: the artwork truly seems to come alive.”

This year, the sculpture “La Noli me Tangere Pistils Corocora” can be discovered within the Engraving section (section Gravure), led by its prominent chairman Jean-Pierre Tanguy, a renowned French painter, engraver, mosaicist, and former professor at the Beaux-Arts de Paris.

A Brief History: The Salon d’Automne, Cradle of Modern Art
Founded in 1903 by architect Frantz Jourdain and leading avant-garde figures (such as Cézanne, Matisse, Renoir, and Guimard), the Salon d’Automne of Paris is historically the birthplace of major artistic movements, including Fauvism in 1905, Cubism in 1911, and seminal exhibitions of Le Corbusier’s avant-garde architecture. Today, it carries on its mission to break academic hierarchies, allowing generations and mediums to dialogue freely through 11 artistic sections (Painting, Sculpture, Engraving, Environmental Art…).
