These works, recently exhibited at the Museum of Norman Traditions and Arts, are a magnificent allegory of nature. Through them, the artist highlights the biodiversity and fragile balance of our environment. She celebrates the joy and fulfillment that fill us when we feel in harmony with nature’s ephemeral beauty.

Delicate sculptures with plant and floral decorations, they are crafted and carved like lace. Composed of exuberant foliage and mysterious flowers, the “Bouquets d’âmes sœurs” – Bouquets of Soulmates – welcome delicate little birds in love into their midst. The pistils, animated by a delicate breath of life, evoke the symbolism of floral fertilization and accentuate the lively and poetic character of the works. A multitude of symbolic imprints and motifs rival the opulence of the garlands of ribbed leaves, egg-and-dart decorations, gadroons, and reinvented acanthus friezes.

Florence Lemiegre will be present on the opening day and will be delighted to welcome you to this legendary venue, the Villa Radet International Arts Center in Paris.
A LITTLE HISTORY
Nestled in the heart of Montmartre, a stone’s throw from Sacré-Coeur, Villa Radet is a unique, well-preserved property surrounded by a magnificent garden.
Named after the famous mill that was moved to the corner of Rue Lepic and Rue Girardon and later christened the “Moulin de la Galette,” Villa Radet, the atypical residence of the miller in the 19th century, is now a mixed-use venue that hosts artists’ studios most of the time, as well as occasional exhibitions, events, and private functions.
Since its creation in 1965, the Cité internationale des arts has welcomed artists from all over the world. It is a place of life open to dialogue between cultures, where artists meet their audiences and professionals.
Villa Radet spans two complementary sites, one in the Marais and the other in Montmartre. In partnership with 135 French and international organizations, it welcomes more than 300 artists from all disciplines every month for periods of up to six months.
