For this major event in international contemporary ceramics, the ArtCeram2 association and its president, Françoise Russo-Marie, with the support of the Sèvres Town Hall, are presenting the creations of some forty French and international ceramic artists whose sculptural work is characterized by high quality and innovation.

Florence Lemiegre is participating in this tenth biennial event alongside guests of honor Haguiko and Maria Geszler. Her ceramic sculptures were selected by a jury of collectors, ceramics specialists, museum curators, and exhibition curators. Her work demonstrates formal and conceptual excellence and represents the pinnacle of her current artistic creation.

The question of balance and imbalance connects each of the artist’s worlds. It is inseparable from her entire body of work, which is itself intertwined with various explorations of the notions of movement, vibration, and breathing. The ten sculptures on display in this 2026 edition are part of this continuity in his artistic journey. At the slightest breath, the pistils at the heart of the sculpture leave their static positions, and each of their movements gives the sensation of tiny vibrations and oscillations escape from the depths of the sculpture.

Like a silent, almost internal melody, these oscillations resemble imperceptible breaths akin to the song of sirens: his Bouquets d’âmes Sœurs (Bouquets of Kindred Spirits) and the eight Noli me tangere Pistils come to life and seem to tell us a story. No doubt the story of how all marine ecosystems regain their biodiversity and nature finally reclaims its rights.
