EXHIBITION “ENTRESONGE” – TOUR D’IVOIRE GALLERY – Dieppe – Seine-Maritime – Normandy – France
• June 14 to July 13, 2025
• Opening on Saturday June 14 from 11:30 am
For its new summer exhibition, “ENTRESONGE”, the Tour d’Ivoire gallery, in the heart of Dieppe in the Seine-Maritime region, welcomes sculptor and ceramist Florence Lemiegre and painter Antoine Bouteiller, a duo of artists from Assigny Petit-Caux, a charming little village in the Seine-Maritime region of Normandy.
The question of balance and imbalance is inseparable from the sculptures of sculptor and ceramist Florence Lemiegre. Each of her creations involves this question, which is also reflected in the result of a search for equivalence and balance between color and sculptural values, and contrasting materials. Antoine Bouteiller, on the other hand, recounts with tenderness and humor the games of encounters and dream landscapes. Two forms of expression, two ways of capturing light and color, which dialogue and respond to each other for the duration of an exhibition.
For this “ENTRESONGE” exhibition, Florence Lemiegre presents some forty of her works. As if in a cabinet of curiosities, her worlds are displayed on Charles X inlaid pedestals. Their preciousness marvelously highlights the color harmonies of the shimmering enamels and the delicate engravings of the stoneware and earthenware sculptures.
The “Culbutos” and “Culbutos Serendipity”, with their pure lines and shapes, sway and hesitate before finding an anchor point. Through these sculptures, the artist evokes stability and instability, strength and fragility, the better to highlight the duality inherent in our wounds, as well as our rebirths. These works are also allegorical, as a symbolic graphic representation of our potential for resilience.

The world of “Noli me tangere” enables her to initiate a dialogue on biodiversity and our relationship with nature. It crystallizes the unspeakable beauty of our planet, both dreamlike and powerful. Beauty that nevertheless conceals impalpable wounds and cracks.
“Noli me tangere Pistils“ crystallize sensory conversations and mysterious, elegant chatter from the depths of the sea. Like the song of the sirens, they seem to whisper a silent, unspeakable melody that echoes in our ears. It’s one in which all marine ecosystems regain their biodiversity, and nature finally reclaims its rights. Florence Lemiegre seeks to convey the emotion of an oceanic language. The corollas of the sculptures are adorned with small flowers and dressed with numerous pistils.

Each pistil, as fine and light as a hair, is moved by the simple displacement of ambient air. This movement gives the sensation that tiny vibrations and oscillations are escaping from the bowels of the room. Like a silent, almost interior melody, they are akin to imperceptible breaths: the earthenware or stoneware piece seems to come alive.
Testifying to the fertility, but also the vulnerability, of our earth and its oceans, it ultimately tells us a story. One in which nature regains its rights and the balance of its ecosystems.
For this exhibition in duo with Antoine Bouteiller, Florence Lemiegre presents, for the first time, “Les Coralli”, small sculptures in Normandy red earthenware, like miniature corals that also tell us about the enchanted landscapes of the deep sea.

The “Moons of Seasons”, emerging from the earth or falling from the sky, form a rich parterre of a thousand flowers that communicate their strength, peace and energy, but also their fragile and ephemeral splendour, to those who contemplate them. They are an invitation to a spiritual journey to the garden of dreams and emotions, and a source of meditation on the beauty of nature. “Moons of spring, winter, summer and autumn, they tell the story of the cycle of life.
The artist will be present at the vernissage on Saturday June 14 at 11:30 a.m.
