EXHIBITION “WHITE GOLD, THE INFLUENCE OF A MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY IN EUROPE” – VINCENNES CASTLE CHAPEL AND CITY HEART – Vincennes – France

Following the success of the exhibition “White gold, from a factory to a school” in 2018, the Ensad alumni association is repeating this event in June 2021 by offering the public a facet of the history of the Vincennes factory and more particularly its influence in Europe. For this new edition, in the exceptional setting of the Sainte-Chappelle of the Château de Vincennes, Hungary is the guest counrtry with exceptional piece from various Hungarian museums and manufactures.
In the heart of the city of Vincennes, we will discover many contemporary ceramic creations of Hungarian and French artists with in particular the the trees of the “Imaginary and enchanted forest” of Florence Lemiegre, former student of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratif de Paris. With this artwork, the artist received the Taylor Foundation Exhibition Commission Sculpture Award in 2018. New tree species will be presented at this 2nd edition of White Gold.

Tours, lectures, concerts and workshops will accompany this exhibition designed in several spaces and whose common thread will allow visitors to make the link between the cradle of the history of porcelain in Vincennes and contemporary creation, testifying to the vitality of this artistic discipline always renewed at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris within the ceramic studio.
